when you use external links, we put a no follow attribute on them; it's in google guidelines for seo when you use internal links by using @ and linking a document, we don't add the no follow to boost internal linking when it's an external link to your own site,, the no follow does not matter because your documentation site will never give authority to your main site but the other way around
